This Seagate Medalist Hard Drive features an Ultra ATA/66 interface, which delivers data transfer rates of up to 66.7MB per second, making it easier to run more than one drive on your system at the same time. The Ultra ATA/66 interface is enhanced by improved timing margins and the use of Cyclical Redundancy Check (CRC), which is a data protection scheme that helps assure the integrity of transferred data. In addition, it provides an average seek time of less than 9 milliseconds, a 5400RPM spindle speed and a 512K cache buffer.
